Three is a crowd

Aquarians make very few friends they say. If that is true then I am a hard-core Aquarian!

As I look back into my life...wait! I am not that old yet! I am still in my sweet twenties! :) But what's the harm in looking into the past?!! So, as I look back, I find that I have had few friends and fewer close friends. And I wonder if it is me or just the people around me...

"I love gossiping about people" I hear one 'friend' say, others seem to derive some sadistic pleasure by taunting and lying to people, and the rest seem to have drowned in a sea of spuriousness...And I wonder where are all the ethics of the world have disappeared? To me, they seem to be like a fairy tale which most of us laugh about and forget as we reach our adult hood...Morality and loyalty have become words of yesterday...

It used to be 'live and let live'...now it has turned to 'lie and let lie'...unfortunately everyone seems to have forgotten the "WE" from it....

Where do I place myself then? Who do I mingle with? Who is my friend? How do I become a part of the group? Well, where is the group in the first place?! I just see a crowd...My conscious tells me that I should not bend my morals and principles to 'fit' in the crowd...if it has to be a two's company then so be it...at least "we" would keep the "we" in 'live' alive! Cheers to Li'we'ing!

Where the mind is without fear

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
- Rabindranath Tagore

With due respect to the great Rabindranath Tagore I apologize for tampering with his wonderful verse I'd like to add (quite selfishly),

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let ME awake....
Help me fight with the demons of my mind so that I can make my home, my city, my country, my world be a better place...
